Without self-control, our hearts resemble a breached city. Proverbs 25:28 points us toward prayer and dependence on Jesus, trusting the Spirit’s strength to guard the places where we feel vulnerable.

Wisdom is not a solitary pursuit. Proverbs 24:5-6 calls us to seek wise counsel, surround ourselves with people who strengthen our faith, and rely on God’s wisdom and power in the battles we face.
