Proverbs 22:2 reminds us that the Lord made rich and poor alike. Pray to see His imprint in every person and treat each soul with dignity and grace.

Righteousness considers the cause of the poor with thoughtful care. Proverbs 29:7 invites us to let Christ’s compassion shape our attention, generosity, and service.

How we respond to the poor reflects how we see their Maker. This reflection calls us to notice people we might otherwise pass by and extend the mercy we have received in Jesus.
