Fools laugh at sin, while the wise take pleasure in wisdom. Proverbs 10:23 invites us to delight in what pleases God because we love Him. Consider whether the things that bring Him joy are the things that bring you joy.

Do you listen to understand or simply wait to speak? Proverbs 18:2 warns against finding more pleasure in our opinions than in wisdom. Consider where you are more eager to be heard than to learn from God’s Word.

Proverbs 21:17 warns against making pleasure an idol. God gives good things to enjoy, but true riches are found in Christ. Consider whether you love His gifts more than the Giver, and where good things may be taking His place.
