Sheltered in the Savior (Proverbs 10:25)
Listen Here:
Proverbs 10:25
When the tempest passes, the wicked is no more,
but the righteous is established forever.
O what a picture of our future in Christ. There is coming a day—a tempest—not a rumor on the horizon but a date on God’s calendar: His righteous judgment. He will not wink at evil or grade on a curve. The winds of His verdict will sweep the field, and everything not fastened to Him will blow away.
But here is the gospel: for those who belong to Jesus, that storm has already struck.
At the cross, the wrath our sins deserved fell—not on our heads, but on His. He stood in the open and took the weather for us. And now, united to Him by faith, we do not fear the final storm; we await it, because it will not erase us—it will reveal us. The wicked vanish like mist when the sun breaks through; the righteous—those in Christ—are established forever, like bedrock under a lighthouse.
So don’t bring an umbrella to a hurricane; bring a Savior.
Flee into the shelter who is Jesus. Trust Him today. And when the last siren fades and the clouds roll back, you will still be standing—not because you were strong, but because your feet were set on the Rock that cannot move.
Isn’t that good? Look to Christ this morning.
Let’s pray.
